Ensure skin is clean from any makeup: Before exfoliating, remove any makeup with your daily cleanser.
Gradually build up usage: Start by using two times per week, spaced apart. Overtime gradually build up usage, once your skin has become used to the product you can gradually build up usage to every other day. For oily/acne-prone skin types, assess how your skin responds and gradually increase usage to once daily.
Prepare: Begin by wetting your hands, face, neck and décolleté with lukewarm water.
Dispense: Take a small amount of exfoliator onto your fingertips or palm.
Massage: Gently massage the exfoliator onto your skin using a gentle sweeping motion. Start from the center of your face and work your way outwards, focusing on areas such as the forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. Avoid the eyes. Extend the massage to your neck and décolleté as well, as these areas also benefit from exfoliating.
Be gentle: While massaging, use light pressure and avoid aggressive scrubbing. Treat your skin with care to avoid any irritation or damage.
Rinse: After thoroughly massaging the exfoliator onto your skin, rinse off with lukewarm water. Ensure that all traces of the exfoliator are removed from your face, neck, and décolleté.
Pat dry: Gently pat your skin dry with a clean, soft towel. Avoid rubbing harshly, as this can cause unnecessary friction and irritation.
Follow up: Complete your skincare routine by applying toner, serum, moisturiser, and any other products that suit your specific needs. Exfoliating prepares your skin for better absorption of subsequent products, maximising their benefits.
